This book is both a warning and a promise. The section of Ephesians 6 on the armour to be worn by every Christian is one of the most profound and misunderstood in the Bible. The promise is that if we put on and wear all the armour which the Lord provides then we will win the battles not just a war. However, the warning is just as clear, that if we fail to put on and wear all the armour then we are staring defeat in the face.
