In this book the reader is led from one great prayer topic to another and from one aspect of that particular topic to another by sure and measured steps of progress. Each one of the steps are helpful to the understanding and to the memory. But overall Scroggie writes as a person who really knows the way into the Presence of the Lord, in reverence and faith, and who, once in it knows what it is to open the soul to its Lord in the precious exercises of adoration petition, intercession and thanksgiving.
Scroggie writes "As the artist and the musician study masterpiece if they would know the power and possibilities of their arts, so the Christian must study prayer if he would be proficient in it."
