Kent moves verse-by-verse through 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus, focusing on important Greek words which he always transliterates and defines, before addressing the larger themes present. He reminds the readers that the Pastoral Epistles form an inspired handbook of pastoral theology, and reminds each church member what a New Testament Church should be and the responsibilities each person has. He communicates the practical help sent from the Apostle Paul to Timothy and Titus, which is still very relevant to all Christians today. Kent also addresses the interpretive controversies which surround these letters.
