These female characters such as Ruth, Esther, Rahab, Lot’s wife, Mary & Martha and Delilah and they illustrate life in its deepest reality sometimes base, ignoble, contemptible, and wicked, but often lofty, god-like, and glorious.
This is a book which would be excellent for sermon material, personal study or the study of Biblical characters.
