These sermons, based on Psalm 23, have been described as “a six stringed Hebrew harp, played by a Scottish hand.”
Each verse within the Psalm has within its title, “...string of the Harp” and as each string is played, the note vibrates with the Word of God.
On preaching this series of sermons in London, a “lady of high degree prevailed on a very eminent scientist who was an agnostic to attend... he did attend several times... This lady in a letter said to me ‘my scientist friend has written to me to say ‘I have heard your preacher several times. All I will say is, from henceforth I am no longer agnostic. The Shepherd has found His sheep.’”
