The Jew and Palestine in Prophecy by M R DeHaan and published by Classics.

There are two lines of redemption which run parallel and unbroken throughout all of scripture. The first is the line of personal redemption of individual salvation for the sinner. God declared His provision for this personal redemption of the sinner in Genesis 3:15 and demonstrated it in the first sacrifice in Genesis 3:21.

From that point onwards the entire scripture progressive reveals how the sinner must be saved by grace through faith in God’s own substitute.

The other aspect of redemption which runs in an unbroken line through the Word of God is after man had failed in his own government, God gave up the nations of the world, and chose Abraham to become the father of the favoured nation. This nation was Israel and God chose Israel to be His people to lead all the rest of the nations to Him in end time.

Sadly Israel too failed and failed to they refused their true Messiah and His Kingdom.

But to mix the church and Israel or to make the Church the Spiritual Israel is the surest way to bring upon one’s self the very blindness which characterises natural Israel today.

It is with a hope that the reader may learn to distinguish the thing that differ that these chapters send forth. We must be able to distinguish law and grace, Israel and the church, the Kingdom and the Body of Christ.
