This small volume is sent forth with the hope that it may offer guidance to believers who desire a better understanding of the Book of Romans. Two suggestions may be given to the person who uses it:
* Firstly READ the Book of Romans many time and if possible in several different translations. To master any book of the Bible one must read the book continuously, repeatedly and prayerfully. No commentary can take the place of this.
* Secondly STUDY the Book of Romans. Bible reading is a part of, but cannot be equated with Bible Study. Bible study requires disciplined thinking and just plain hard work!
Since this book is designed to be a companion to the Epistle, those who use it with an open Bible will derive the most help from it. Technical matters usually discussed in more scholarly works have, with a few exceptions, have been omitted.
