The Lord Jesus Christ took a group of the most unlikely people from divergent walks of life and made them into the most glorious company of the Apostles – people who would be sent in His name. He trained and encouraged them, set His spirit on them to give them the earnest desire to go out and change the world by the preaching of the Gospel. During His time on earth with the Apostles, the Lord Jesus modelled for them the kind of life that they should lead, and as He preached and taught the people He illustrated for them the kind of message they were to proclaim. Therefore we have much to learn from these perceptive studies on the lives of the Apostles by this great Welsh preacher John Daniel Jones.
