Commentary on 1 & 2 Corinthians, The Church of God at Corinth.
Most people agree that Paul arrived at Corinth around 54 AD and stayed there for more than eighteen months. Paul sought the big cities and spent most of his time there – in Corinth, Ephesus and Rome – and would have spent more time in the Jewish centre of Jerusalem had he been allowed to do so. However it is in 1 & 2 Corinthians there is more practical, detailed and scriptural instruction about the affairs in a New Testament church and the problems concerning the body of believers, that in all the other Epistles of the New Testament.
It is the desire of the author that the Lord would make the words of this book a blessing to all who read it, assuring the reader that this commentary is a holy task and is written with the deepest possible devotion to the Word of God as the infallible, verbally inspired Scripture. May the Lord smile upon the Scripture themselves and open hearts to be blessed by God’s message.
