The Epistle to the Hebrews is undoubtedly one of the greatest and most important in the New Testament. Like Romans, Galatians, Ephesians and Colossians, Hebrews is largely occupied with doctrine which is primarily focussed on the person of Christ.
While Hebrews was addressed directly to Jewish Christians and its primary message was for them, nevertheless it has a definite applications to believers of every generation because of its special theme and
the fact and development of the believer's relationship to God.
Hebrews displays are ability to come to the throne and the divine nearness in which we are to rejoice.
The studies in this book contains the amplication of the Lectures and Bible reading which were given firstly at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford in 1905, later at the Moody Bible Institute in 1911 and then a brief outline of the book was given at the Keswick Convention in 1922.
