The aim of this book is to show that Christianity can work in everyday life.
Many people, both inside and outside of the life of the church, believe that Christianity does not work – and this view is borne out by the author’s first hand experience both as an itinerant preacher and as the pastor of a local church. Therefore a vital Christianity which is rightly related to everyday life is hard to find in much of the organized religion today.
The material in this book was first preached at a Sunday evening congregation and it explains why each message in the book is Evangelistic in purpose, homiletic in construction and informal in style. With the Gospel approach, however, there is a teaching content – so that the reader will be challenged not only by the importance of the Christian belief, but also by the imperatives of Christian behaviour.
