Peter and the Church by G Campbell Morgan and published by Classics.
The bulk of the chapters consist of the official reports of Bible Readings given at the Keswick Convention of 1937. Those Bible Readings were a consideration of a description of the Church from the pen of the Apostle Peter (1 Peter 2. 9). As it was to Peter that our Lord was speaking when He made the first explicit disclosure of the Church, we are devoting the first chapter to a consideration of the declaration he then made. That disclosure at Caesarea Philippi was the background of all Peter’s life, experience, and teaching; and what he wrote by the Spirit enables us to understand more clearly the glory and beauty of the words of our Lord.
