The only biography on the market today of this eminent 17th-century Puritan expositor and theologian, who preached frequently before Parliament and was chaplain to both Oliver Cromwell and Charles II. During his lifetime, he published commentaries on James and Jude. From 1870 to 1875, his entire works were printed in 22 volumes.
