Bunyan wrote extensively on topical theological and practical matters which not only where issues in the church of his time, but are still ones which confront us. The Intercession of Christ is basically the Puritan view of Christ's mediating work. In it, Bunyan traces the nature of Jesus's intercession, who it should affect, the benefits it gives us and how effective His intercession is. Bunyan is also keen to demonstrate the inferences of the doctrine one such subjects as backsliding, how Christ's intervention is affected when we continue to sin and are the sins of God's people worse than the sins of others?
