When a handsome and serious young doctor begins to visit the dinner table of Cassandra Dell Winston's father, Cassandra is intrigued by such a conscientious man. After their marriage, she agrees to leave the upper society of Montreal for the adventure of the western frontier. Contrary to her expectation of glamorous adventure, however, the west is full of hardships that Cassandra never could have expected.
