The collected work provides a comprehensive and accessible introduction into Calvin’s life and thought, the history of Reformation worldwide, and his continuing relevance for ecclesial, social, and political questions of the day.

With this book the commissioning Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches seeks to contribute to the understanding, communication, and maintenance of the Protestant tradition and in turn, to strengthen the self-understanding and communion of Calvinist churches throughout the world.
